Jeniferever are yet another reason why Sweden is a veritable hotbed of innovative musical talent. Opening up this E.P. with some sweeping art-rock instrumentation their music flows with a graciously melodic intricacy, reminiscent of Breach’s quieter moments, and resulting in some beautifully simplistic soundscapes. But after two tracks, just as you’re about to fall asleep the U.K.’s Next Autumn Soundtrack give you a gentle musical nudge with some nice twinkly post-emo melodies, traversing across a little Braid-like introspection in the process. Unfortunately though, The Next Autumn Soundtrack very recently disbanded but on the strength of this E.P. their respective new projects look very promising indeed.
